Bulldog Divers Gain Solid Scores on Day One of NCAA Region 2 Diving Championships

Three divers from the University of Redlands competed in the opening day of the 2018 NCAA Division III Region 2 Diving Championships in San Antonio, TX, at the Palo Alto College Aquatics Center on Friday.

Sophomore Jacob Miner (Antioch, CA) earned 400.65 points on the three-meter board to take sixth place in today's action. First-year Max Spiegel (Englewood, CO) impressed in his NCAA debut by taking eighth with 352.35 points.

Sophomore Sami Scarano (Boulder, CO) recorded 321.70 points on the one-meter board to finish 13th in the individual standings.

All three divers return to action on Saturday, March 3, with the men's one-meter event and the women's three-meter competition, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Palo Alto College Aquatics Center.
