It was recently announced by Easton and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) that the University of Redlands softball team has been awarded Academic Team Honors for the 2016-17 academic year. The rankings recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across different divisions including NCAA Division I, II, and III, NAIA, junior colleges, and high schools.
Based on last year's team GPA, the Bulldogs take the 65th spot out of 125 Division III schools with an impressive GPA of 3.404. Redlands ranks the highest of the six Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schools on the list.
In addition to its large recruiting class, Redlands welcomes back a plethora of returners, all of whom excitedly anticipate the upcoming 2018 season.
