Brsyl Libao and Brad Cummins Conclude Solid Year in Quarterfinals of NCAA Men's Tennis Individual Championships

The University of Redlands men's tennis team's season came to a close on Saturday evening in Kalamazoo, Michigan, during the NCAA Division III Individual Championships.

The dynamic duo of sophomore Brysl Libao (Redlands, CA) and junior Brad Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) represented the Bulldogs in the quarterfinals of the national tournament but fell short in a 4-6, 2-6 decision to the University of Chicago's Ninan Kumar and Erik Kerrigan.

With Libao and Cummins advancing past the first round at this year's tournament, they earned All-America honors for the first time in their respective careers.  In addition, senior Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) became an All-American for the third time with his first-round singles victory on Friday.

Libao and Cummins had the privilege of being the final Bulldog student-athletes in action to conclude a solid 2018-19 year of competition at the University of Redlands.  Earlier in the day, they were joined by multiple track & field standouts who were finishing up their national meet in Geneva, Ohio.
