Bulldog Men's Tennis Moves up to No. 20 on the Oracle/ITA Division III Rankings

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the most recent Oracle/Division III Men's Rankings on Thursday evening, with the University of Redlands elevating two spots to No. 20.  In addition, the Bulldogs climbed one slot to No. 4 in the West Region.

Redlands makes its upward move on the national poll after firing off five consecutive wins since the previous rankings on March 28.  Among the highlights, the Bulldogs earned gritty, 5-4 victories over then-No. 21 Caltech and previous No. 20 Gustavus Adolphus College (MN).   In addition, the Maroon and Gray defeated Pacific University (OR), Occidental College, and Cal Lutheran University.

Senior Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) remains at the top of the Bulldogs' singles lineup as the ninth-ranked competitor in the West Region.  Sophomore Brysl Libao (Redlands, CA) and junior Brad Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) rose to No. 2 in the West Region for doubles after defeating the then-top-ranked duo from Caltech.  Libao and Cummins are the highest-ranking tandem from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) among the current poll.

Redlands owns an 11-3 overall record and a 3-0 mark in conference.  The Bulldogs head to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Friday, April 12, for a 3 p.m. showdown against the No. 1 Stags.
