Bulldog Men's Tennis Continues to Roll with 7-2 Victory over Swarthmore

In a non-conference home match against the Garnet of Swarthmore College (PA), the University of Redlands men's tennis team battled to a 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

At the top of doubles action, junior Brad Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) and sophomore Brysl Libao (Redlands, CA) remained undefeated on the year with an 8-1 victory. First-years Thomas Reznik (Belmont, CA) and Andrew Yip (Honolulu, HI) prevailed over their No. 2 counterparts by a score of 8-3 to help the Bulldogs to a 2-1 advantage.

Libao then got singles going with a 6-4, 6-2 win from the fifth court, which was followed by junior Andrew Leahy's (Claremont, CA) 6-3, 6-2 triumph at No. 2 for a 4-1 Bulldog advantage.

For the third match in a row, first-year Thomas Reznik (Belmont, CA) clinched the fifth point, with this one coming off scores of 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 4 slot.

To close out the day, Cummins came from behind in a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 triumph on court three, while senior Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) rallied for a 3-6, 7-5, 11-9 showing at No. 1.

Redlands (4-2) approaches the middle of a 12-game home stand with its match against Southwestern University (TX) on Monday, March 18, at 4 p.m. on Verdieck Courts.
