The University of Redlands men's tennis team hosted the Kingsmen of Cal Lutheran University in Friday's Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) match on Verdieck Courts.  The Bulldogs impressed in the singles to overcome a 1-3 deficit and secure the 6-3 victory.

After CLU took an early lead, the Maroon and Gray cut the deficit to 1-2 with a hard-fought, 9-7 win by first-years Cameron Krimbill (Scottsdale, AZ) and Noah Morrow (Stevenson Ranch, CA) at the No. 2 slot.

Now trailing 1-3 at the start of the singles, Redlands mustered the comeback with efficiency at all five positions.  Krimbill rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at No. 2, before first-year Brysl Libao (Redlands, CA) tied it up with his 6-3, 6-2 performance at the No. 4 slot.  After CLU's top player retired, Redlands moved within one point of the victory.  First-year Mauricio Orozco (Cancun, Mexico) officially put this one in the books with his 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5.  In addition, Morrow earned the Bulldogs' fifth and final singles match of the day by defeating his No. 3 opponent, 6-3, 6-2.

Redlands (10-7, 3-3 SCIAC) heads to Whittier College on Saturday, April 14, for a 10 a.m. match against the Poets.
