Senior Kayvon Parsa Garners SCIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week Award

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (SCIAC) has named the athletes of the week for September 10-16 and senior forward Kayvon Parsa (West Hills, CA) of the University of Redlands men's soccer team received the Offensive Athlete of the Week honor.

Parsa earns the inaugural award for Bulldog men's soccer this season.

Last week, Parsa served an instrumental role in the Bulldogs' attack during the Bulldogs' SCIAC wins against the Occidental College and Caltech. During the game against the Tigers, Parsa had one of his most impressive games of his collegiate career by scoring both of Redlands' goals, including the game-winner in the 81st minute.

During the subsequent game against Caltech, Parsa helped put the opposing goalkeeper to work by uncorking two shot attempts en route to the Maroon and Gray's 18-3 shot margin in the 4-0 win.

Currently, Parsa sits in a four-way tie for third in the SCIAC for goals scored with three this season. He ranks first on the team with three goals and leads the squad with six points.

The Bulldogs enjoy a two-game, home-stand by hosting the University of La Verne on Wednesday, September 19, and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Saturday, September 22. Kickoff for each game is slated for 7 p.m. on Farquhar Field.
