No. 9 U of R Men's Golf Team Takes 17th at NCAA Championships

After shooting a 310 as a team in the final round, the No. 9 University of Redlands men's golf team concluded the NCAA Division III Championships in 17th place with a four-round total of 1,241 on Friday afternoon in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

With two birdies and 11 pars on the day, junior Jake Hollander (Peterborough, NH) finished the tournament with his lowest round of 74.  He completed his national appearance with an overall tally of 304 to land in a five-way tie for 39th place.

Senior Alex Stroes (San Marcos, CA) birdied the 18th hole and ended the day with 11 pars to score a 79 in his last round as a Bulldog.  He tallied a total of 314 to finish in a tie for 72nd.   

Junior Cameron Cooper (Seattle, WA) fired off a 79 for a total score of 317 to finish the tournament in a three-way tie for 79th.  Senior Cade Lawson (Lake Oswego, OR) registered a final round of 78 to wrap up his second national appearance in an 85th-place tie with a final tally of 320. Cooper logged seven pars and two birdies, while Lawson registered 12 pars and a birdie. 

While qualifying for their first NCAA tournament since 2015, the Bulldogs completed the current season with a solid showing with their 17th-place result.
