In a competitive tournament that featured 13 NCAA Division II teams and only two Division III teams, the No. 10 University of Redlands men's golf team finished ninth with a combined score of 605 (313-292) at the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational. The Bulldogs especially impressed in the second round by eliminating  21 strokes to move up five spots in the standings.

Redlands also finished ahead of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) foe, Cal Lutheran University, which landed 12th.

The final round of competition was canceled due to a rainy forecast.

Juniors Jake Hollander (Peterborough, NH) and Cameron Cooper (Seattle, WA) combined forces to steer the Maroon and Gray's effort, as each recorded an overall score of 151 to tie for 23rd after 36 holes. Hollander shot a 79 on day one before improving to a 72 on day two. He shot a plus-three on the par fours for an average of 4.15 while also tallying six total birdies.  Cooper turned in his scorecard with identical scores as Hollander but on opposite days.  With great consistency, Cooper dropped in 28 pars over the 36 holes.

Senior Alex Stroes (San Marcos, CA) finished in an eight-way tie for 34th with an overall score of 153. After shooting an 81 through 18 holes, he regrouped to take off nine strokes for a score of 72 during the second round. He displayed an impressive short game with an even score on par threes, which ranked third among the tournament field.  He also averaged minus-two on the par fives and, by the final hole, he had tapped in six birdies overall.

Senior Cade Lawson (Lake Oswego, OR) notched a notable second-round score of 71, which was the seventh-best in the tournament, en route to a 36-hole score of 155 for a three-way tie for 49th. Rounding out the group, first-year Kyle Sharp (Austin, TX) earned a 158 to tie with four others in 62nd place.
