Junior Cade Lawson (Lake Oswego, OR) represented the University of Redlands on the first day of the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships in Greensboro, NC, with an opening round of 75 on Tuesday.
With a birdie and 14 pars in his inaugural NCAA experience, Lawson currently sits in a tie for 64th on the individual leaderboard.
Although Lawson had already entered the clubhouse for the day, thunderstorms halted play for multiple golfers during the opening 18 holes. The first round will continue on Wednesday morning, followed by a shotgun start for the second round for all golfers at 11 a.m. at Grandover Resort.
