The No. 22 University of Redlands men's golf team took on the familiar opponents of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) for the first time this season and finished one stroke behind a tie for first place with a 581. While competing at the Olivas Links in Ventura, the Bulldogs put together a solid 36-hole outing with scores of 285 and 296 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, to take third in the team standings.

Junior Cade Lawson (Lake Oswego, OR) climbed two spots on the individual leaderboard from the first round to finish in a tie for second place.  He shot a 69 in the opening round and then signed his scorecard with a 73 for a solid showing at minus two.  No other statistics were available at the time of posting.

Sophomore Diego Cortes (Santiago, Chile) impressed in the first 18 holes by firing off a 66 for the best round of his young Bulldog career.  He now ranks among the top-three in Redlands men's golf history.  He completed the tournament with a 78 to tie for fifth among the individual standings.
