Bulldog Men's Golf Takes Seventh at High-Caliber CSUSM Fall Classic

The University of Redlands men's golf team capped off the fall portion of its season with a seventh-place showing at the Cal State San Marcos Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday.  The Bulldogs tallied a three-round total of 919 (301-306-312) at the challenging Vista Valley Country Club.

Sophomore Alex Stroes (San Marcos, CA) paced the Maroon and Gray with his 54-hole score of 227 (73-76-78) to tie for 17th place overall.  He put together the team's best effort on the par-four holes with a tally of 4.19 while also recording 34 pars over the two days.

Freshman Carter Tillotson (Kenmore, WA) finished among the top 20 with a score of 228 (77-77-74), which was highlighted by his final round of 74.  In addition to recording an even score on the par threes, he knocked in eight birdies and 32 pars during the tournament.

Juniors George Galanis (Glencoe, IL) and Joseph Kuehn (Eugene, OR) tied for 35th overall with a score of 233.  Galanis opened the event with his best round of 76, while Kuehn impressed with back-to-back rounds of 75 on Monday. 

Freshman Cameron Cooper (Seattle, WA) completed the Bulldog scoring five with a 54-hole score of 237 (77-79-81) after carding 33 pars.

Redlands looks forward to the spring season, which is tentatively set to begin on Saturday, February 18, with the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament No. 1 at the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena.
