U of R Men’s Basketball Receives Votes in D3hoops.com Division III National Polls

REDLANDS, Calif. – D3hoops.com released their updated Division III National Rankings for Men's Basketball for Week 2 with the University of Redlands receiving seven votes in the polls.

The Bulldogs jump into the national spotlight for the first time this season becoming the third team from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) to land inside the rankings joining No. 17 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer (1 Vote). 

Head Coach Eric Bridgeland has his team firing on all cylinders posting a 5-1, 1-0 SCIAC record, while keeping a winning streak alive consisting of five games.  They played Mary Hardin-Baylor, currently No. 24 in the polls tough falling 92-82, but since then have beaten UC Santa Cruz (83-76), then No. 28 University of St. Thomas (TX) 80-72), Willamette University (110-58), George Fox University (95-84), and most recently Whittier College (87-78).

The Maroon and Grey are currently averaging 89.5 Points Per Game, 41.3 Rebounds Per Game, and 16.2 Assists Per Game, while shooting 44.9% from the field, and 35.7% from three-point territory.

Redlands returns to the court next week for a pair of road games in Texas on Tuesday and Thursday, December 13 and 15, both being played at 5:00 p.m. PST. They will take on LeTourneau University and East Texas Baptist University.
