Charlie Yaeger IV originally joined the U of R football coaching staff in August 2012 as an assistant coach for the offensive line after competing for the Bulldogs for four years.  During the Spring of 2013, he took over the Tight Ends and Full Backs, and later moved to coaching the receivers in 2020.

Hailing from Mission Viejo, CA, Yaeger returned to Redlands to play out his fifth year during the 2012 campaign after suffering a season-ending knee injury three games into his senior year.  Unfortunately, his knee was not ready for competition, but his love for the game kept him involved with Bulldog football as a student-coach.  He enjoys giving back to the players and looks forward to someday pursuing a career in coaching.

During his time as an offensive lineman at Redlands, the Bulldogs tallied a 30-7 overall record in addition to making a trip to the NCAA Championships during the 2011 campaign.  He was part of the group that allowed just three sacks during the team’s 10-game schedule.  He completed his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.

In his free time, Yaeger enjoys playing the guitar, building LEGO models, and playing the occasional video game.  He currently resides in Redlands.
