The University of Redlands invites the local community to attend the Bulldogs' next home football game on Saturday, September 29, at 7 p.m. against Occidental College as part of Take a Kid to the Game® Night. All kids 18 and under, as well as any adult who brings a child to the game, will receive free admission.
In addition, Bulldog Athletics is excited to announce the co-sponsorship of the event with Corner Bakery Café, which is providing a voucher for a free kid's meal to all participating children. The new Redlands restaurant, which is located on 402 N. Orange Ave., is scheduled to open to the public on September 24 and provides a wonderful menu of sandwiches, salads, and pasta.
During the game's intermission on September 29, all children ages 12 and under will be invited down to the field to participate in fun, football activities like catching the pass, kicking the field goal, and tackling the dummies. All participants will receive a free Bulldog prize and a Corner Baker Café voucher.
Redlands is one of more than 200 schools across the nation that is hosting a game in this campaign focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games. The Take a Kid to the Game® program is entering its 18th year in the promotion of collegiate athletics.
For those not participating in Take a Kid to the Game Night®, ticket sales begin at 6 p.m. on September 29 at the Frank Serrao Gateway to Ted Runner Stadium. General admission is $7 for adults and $4 for senior citizens (55 and over) and junior high/high school students with identification. All University of Redlands students and employees as well as those from SCIAC schools are admitted for free.
