With multiple wins over nationally-ranked foes, the University of Redlands baseball team received recognition as the No. 14 team on the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Collegiate Baseball Division III Top-30 poll and as the No. 25 team on the D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Writers Association (NCBWA) national poll, as announced earlier today.

The Bulldogs currently hold an overall record of 14-4 and a 7-2 mark in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play.

In early February, the Maroon and Gray kicked off the season with a road trip to Tucson, AZ. During the Cactus Classic, the team went 3-1 with a huge, extra-inning win over then-No. 22 University of Texas-Dallas.

The next big triumph came when Redlands swept then-No. 10 Cal Lutheran University, the defending national champions. The Bulldogs showed major grit in the final game of the series with a come-from-behind, 10-inning victory.

Most recently, the Maroon and Gray split results against then-No. 8 Centenary College (LA).  The Bulldogs bounced back from a two-run loss in the opener to defeat the Gents, 4-2, in the nightcap.

Senior pitcher Adam Stead (Rialto, CA) has been money on the mound with a low ERA of 1.83 in 34.1 innings pitched with 34 strikeouts. Currently, junior first baseman Brendan Moore (Murrieta, CA) leads the team in three categories with 26 hits, 20 RBI, and a .394 batting average (50 min. AB).

Redlands continues non-conference action with a game against Dickinson College (PA) on Wednesday, March 14, at 3 p.m.
