The University of Redlands men's and women's basketball teams invite the community to the eighth annual "Family Fun Night" during the Bulldogs' Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) doubleheader against Chapman University on Saturday, February 9. The women tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m., in Currier Gym.
Any adult accompanied by a child age 18 and under will receive free admission into the games. All children are automatically admitted free of charge. In addition, halftime of the women's game will feature an informal shoot-around for kids ages 12 and younger, with smaller hoops available for the youngest children.
"We are excited to welcome back the local community for this annual tradition in Currier Gym," Assistant Director of Athletics Rachel Roche commented.
During halftime of the men's game, fans will enjoy a special performance by the U of R Dance Company.
"Family Fun Night" replaced the NCAA's Take a Kid to the Game® program, which was suspended in 2011-12.
Finally, fans are encouraged to wear maroon to show support of the Bulldogs.
