Redlands Student-Athlete Responsibility

Redlands Student-Athlete Responsibility

  • All student-athletes MUST complete an online sizing sheet, preferably as soon as they accept admission to the University or know they are joining a team.
  • Student-athletes are responsible for turning in their soiled practice laundry in a timely manner following each scheduled practice or team lift.
  • Laundry will be turned into the designated bins in team locker rooms.
  • Each student-athlete is permitted one (1) shower towel per scheduled practice or team lift, and it must be turned into the properly labeled receptacles (“TOWELS”) after each use – not put on laundry loops, not left in locker, not hung in locker like a curtain, and not left on the floors.
    • PLEASE DO NOT HOARD THE TOWELS!
  • For away contests, student-athletes are required to ensure all their soiled laundry, game uniforms, and equipment traveled to the event, returns to campus and is turned in for laundering properly, even if the student-athlete doesn't return immediately with the team.
  • Game uniforms will be issued on a game-by-game basis and are required to be turned in to be laundered every time they are worn, immediately following each game.  Gear that is not promptly turned in after each game or the team’s return to campus WILL NOT be washed!
  • Student-athletes are responsible for monitoring their issued gear during usage.  Torn items or items that have worn out under normal circumstances will be replaced on a trade-in basis.  If a student-athlete doesn't have the item to trade in during the season, it will be assumed it has been kept or lost, and a new item will have to be purchased /charged to his/her account.
  • At the end of each sport’s season, every student-athlete is responsible for returning all issued gear, except used practice socks.  Any items not returned will be charged to the student-athlete' account.  Note: being charged for an item does not guarantee re-issuance of another of the same item the following season.
